You guys have seen pictures of Torrey Pines before, but its always so pretty, I can't help sharing!
Saturday we had a lazy morning, hiked and had a late lunch at Pizza Port.
We tried a couple of their signature micro-brews and my family was impressed to know that San Diego's pizza is tolerably good :-)
on Sunday my culinary skills were put to the test as I made baby back ribs with all the fixin's for my family of 8.
We ended the weekend in Old Town, which may have been everyone's favorite. My sisters stocked up on souvenirs while my dad, E, and I walked through all the historical buildings.
We ate at Casa De Reyes, which was delicious (and my dad got his wish--authentic mexican food, and really good margaritas)
p.s. If you're going in the month of December, you should know that if you spend $20+ in any of the stores, you get a $5 coupon for any of the three restaurants inside the park
Also, a Monday morning in off-season is the best time to go! We almost had the place to ourselves.
Was sad to see my family go but we all had such a great weekend!
