Remember this darling video that spread the web a couple of months ago?
This week, Samuel's mom posted on Facebook that he was going to get to meet Billy Collins at the University of Arizona Poetry Center.
NPR did a great interview with Billy, his parents, and (now) 4-year-old Samuel that I thought would be fun to share.

What a neat opportunity for a 4-year-old with his hero--a poet!
I hope our future children inherit E's love of learning and appreciate literature as much as Samuel does!

That is adorable!
Actually, I took that bottom photo of Samuel and Billy and shared it with Samuel's wonderful mother. I'm Billy's fianceé and was so delighted and honored to be there and see Samuel live and in person. He stole our hearts! I have to say that Christopher and Della are doing a remarkable job parenting their children, and as exceptionally talented as Samuel is, they are a huge part of all of this wonderfulness going on. I can't wait to see what happens when Samuel learns to read! What a road he has ahead of him. (Not just anyone can make Billy break down in tears on National Public Radio!)
I guess one thing that will happen when Samuel learns to read is that Della will have more time in her day. His appetite for words is tremendous!
