We've got a Latte Love: For the First Time...

I had decided about a month before the wedding (after a lot of local scoping) to have our first look on the grounds of my [former] workplace.

So after goodbye to grandma, we headed off to the first look.

The latte ladies are the most sweet and fun girls ever. They had me in tears from laughter just before I was supposed to meet E!

Before I go on, I just want to put a plug in for the "First Look" phenomena. I had a very traditional wedding in most ways, and for years dreamed E and I's first look to be at the end of the aisle at church. As we worked through the wedding day schedule though, E really thought it was wiser to take as many photos pre-ceremony as possible for the sake of us and our guests, so I reluctantly conceded to the first look.

I poured through posts of some of my favorite bloggers first looks--Avocado, Cupcake, Sea Breeze and started to get really excited about that moment.

After experiencing it, and seeing the pictures, I am completely won over to the idea. There were still tears and smiles during the walk down the aisle, but this moment was raw, real, and so much better because of its intimacy. We savored it, and it turned out to be the only time we had to ourselves the whole day.

As I peeked around the corner, I was a ball of excitement and nerves.
I spent all morning preparing and now it was time. A happy calm swept over me and I started walking towards him with a smile you couldn't wipe off my face.

E knew nothing about my dress except that I had changed my mind three times about it and had it custom made. He loved it!
